You just don't get this kind of self-deprecating humor from car companies anymore. I challenge any reader/viewer to find one BMW, Porsche, GM, or Toyota TV commercial that doesn't claim to the claim to brighten your smile, balance your budget, soothe your fears, and increase your libido all at once – and flawlessly to boot.
Well, I guess that VW's classic 1960s US adverts are the only examples that remain which contain that all important human element – humility. And self-deprecating humor.
