What Price GM?

Following a tip off from Jalopnik's "Morning Shift", yours followed a posted link to WhyGas.com - a website that only the General would have the temerity to operate.

With this advertising site that touts the benefits of GM's petrol powered "medium duty engines" the world's largest automaker does a good job stepping all over itself. In the same breath GM's PR staff is claiming the company is embracing alternative energy methods and then saying there ain't nothin' better than good ole Texas Tea - hoping that we in the U.S. forget the price at the pump and that much of America's "tea" comes from the hostile Middle East and Venezuela.

Even more bizarre, the website advocates the GMC Duramax diesel while on another page claims that the GM line of unleaded fueled V8s will save the owners of full size pickups lots of money compared to the comparable diesel models. Huh?

Oh and you can get a free coffee mug there, too.

It's a strange and disturbing universe we live in.
