VW G60 Corrado Ad

I remember this car. It made the old Golf look as boxy as a Volvo 240 wagon. The G60 was sleek yet defined. It had edge – both metaphorically and literally. And in red – you'd swear the car looked like it could keep pace with a Porsche 911 – even if it couldn't.
I wonder how Beetle fans felt about VW "letting go" of the tried and true Bug in this commercial. There's almost a disdain for the simple car that set in the tone of this commercial. Personally, I bet VW had some kiss and making up to do with the VW Party Faithful.
