VW Considers North American Assembly Plant

The weakness of the dollar has been a sore point for many; not least of whom are American tourists travelling abroad to Europe where the €uro is at an all time high against the greenback. But it affects businesses small and large, too and Volkswagen has taken the opportunity to remind us of that.
Martin Winterkorn, VW's hardnosed CEO has told Focus that he might consider building an assembly plant in the United States (likely Michigan) if the dollar maintains its low position against the €uro.
Indeed, VW is set to build a second administrative hub to get "closer to our customers" in the U.S. Hmm, perhaps the weak dollar policy has it's benefits afterall?
