Don't expect a return to the boxiness of 240s-of-yore. Nej, the future's a roller-coaster of swoops and curves symbolizing Volvo's aim to find aesthetic balance between the opposing images of stout safety and svelte Swedish sport.
It's an act that rival carmaker Saab has been more apt in playing.
Apparently the next S60's production timeline had been pushed ahead by six months due to budgetary constraints (FoMoCo was over $12 Billion in the hole last year) but it's all now back on track for 2009 release date.
See here for more of the next Volvo S60 saloon.
