Volvo Minivan

I read this article Volvo Minivan?" and I admit to not thinking too much of it. But after it all sinks in, I realize that, yeah, Volvo doesn't have a minivan. Of course Volvo is all about safety, but they are also about families (even Volvo's convertible has four seats) so where is there minivan? And, no, the XC90 doesn't count. I couldn't be more disappointed that Volvo has Fallen for the V-8 movement. It's like Phil wrote, let's focus less on more power and more on using less fuel. Anyway, I think a minivan with some good Swedish influence would give the Japanese lock on that segment a good run for its money. Would you consider a Volvo minivan? (The photo is of Ford's concept minivan, the Galaxy.)

Bob, Volvo would do well with a new mini van. I’m actually surprised they never did one before, but I believe that they always assumed their wagons V70 were good enough. The Galaxy mini van from Ford, has been in production for a couple of years now. Do you think Volvo will borrow the platform for their van? The S-Max is slightly smaller but also very nice. The Volvo XC90 needed a V8 option to stay competative, but their 3.0 Diesel would be a better choice, if it was available in the US.
