And further still with today's TV commercial lineup. In this (00:38) clip, Mercedes-Benz marketing degenerates into a crude blonde joke. It's mildly funny, just not ha ha funny - to paraphrase Ralph Wiggum.

Apparently, the new Mercedes-Benz E Klasse wagon has both brains and beauty. Gee, I had never thought of a Benz wagon as beautiful before. But now that they mention it, I'm pretty sure I'll never think of a Benz wagon as beautiful ever. Nice looking, sure, but common...
