Video > McLaren F1 Crash Test
July 23, 2007 · Posted in Uncategorized
It's rare that we ever get to see a sports car, let alone an exotic, tested for passive safety. But in this video, we get several good vantages of a mclaren f1 crashing into a barrier head-on and then see how the front deforms only until it meets the windshield as how it would operate in most any "normal" sedan, SUV, cross-over, minivan with crush zones.
The only question is – how fast was this McLaren traveling when it hit the barrier? Was it the standard 40 mph? It seemed slower. What would the car look like after 240 mph? Chilling thought.
