The following link is to an (0:46) advertisement from General Motors Europe (GME).

For those out there who have critiqued "The General" for badge engineering itself into a dark corner, the new Cadillac BLS gives fuel to their fire.

Why anyone at GME would think that Europeans would drop everything and leave their Opel Vectras and Saab 9-3s for the same Epsilon platform with a Caddy badge (and a higher sticker price) defies logic.

Or why, one would ponder twice before buying the equivalently priced and vastly superior Audi A4 or BMW 3-Series instead is also truly mind boggling.

The BLS is not for sale Stateside. Just as well, though it would heal some wounds that the old Catera inflicted upon the Cadillac faithful.
