Adrian Van Hooydonk, chief of BMW Design walks the viewer through the thought processes behind the latest 1-Series coupe that's soon to meet the North American market.
Based largely on the old and iconic 2002, the new 1-Series coupe is - to paraphrase Mr. Hooydonk - a coupe in the traditional BMW sense. Not a fastback, but one that sports a more three-box structure that features the Hoffmeister kink and an actual trunk.
Added to the monologue are some very appealing B-Roll shots of the 135i driving in this 03:45 video. It's well worth the look.

Me, I'm not seeing a lot of 2002. I am seeing a lot of Bangle. Not bad Bangle, but Bangle nonetheless.
