Parent company VW-Audi Group is looking to boost Lamborghini sales. And what better way than to drop the price? But in order to lessen the sticker shock to would-be first time buyers, there have to be concessions - in this case power cuts.

A less powerful (but still potent) Lamborghini Gallardo will be offered with the audi r8's 420 bhp V8 powerplant as a smaller option to the current Gallardo's signature V-10.

We can expect the V-8 version of the Gallardo to still outrun the R8 all the way to 195 mph thanks to the Raging Bull's lighter body weight.
