It's not all hard industry news here on 4DriversOnly. Every once in a great while it's good to look back on past legends. It serves as a kind of gauge to show us how far automotordom has come and what talented men and women have been able to achieve over the years.

"Legend" is the appropriate term to describe the original Audi Quattro of the 1980s. The penultimate rally car of its day, the Quattro set the tempo for change in the automotive industry. Within a decade, the concept of all wheel drive and luxury transport would no longer be two, mutually exclusive terms.

And this rockin' Quattro made it possible.
