And who says that retrochic in auto design went out with the late 90s? VW's still selling the new version of the old Beetle. MINI's made a roaring comeback with BMW and has become a profitable carmaker. Fiat's even reintroducing the old 500. If these carmakers can do it, why not good old Citroën?
It seems that the corporate heads running the French carmaker pondered that very thought and agreed that they should follow in the tyre paths of its competitors. And so, Citroën will reintroduce the 2CV (Deux Cheveaux), affectionately known as the "tin snail".
Britain's AutoExpress seems especially excited at the prospect.
"However, while the 2CV was designed to be cheap and cheerful, the newcomer will feature lots of hi-tech kit as standard, including sat-nav and connectivity for the latest handheld gadgets."
