Testing the Yaris You Should Buy, But Can’t

Sometimes I'm reluctant to blow my own horn. Which is not a problem as I don't currently possess anything attached to a horn. But with a fast-changing focus on smaller cars, I thought you might find my About.com Toyota Yaris test drive enlightening. Note especially the remarks from two friends determined to find faults but forced to admit the Yaris packs more into its short dimensions than a Kangaroo mother with one pouch and a set of twins. In this case my test vehicle was a 5-door RS hatch, a model available in Canada but not the US, where foolish marketing mavens decided that Americans won't buy 5-door hatchbacks and must settle for 3-box sedans. When will they learn? (The marketing types, not US buyers.) Photo credit for the base 5-door goes to Greg Wilson of Canadian Driver.
