I'd like to know if anyone has ever heard of the following story.
Apparently back in '98 a (presumably NYC) Taxi Driver found in excess of $30,000 in the backseat of his cab one day. The driver debated using the cash to buy a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but instead returned the money to the person whom he knew had accidentally left the tidy sum.
Mercedes-Benz USA apparently then received word of his kind-hearted act and his automotive dreams and elected to give the driver his very own C-Class sedan. Hey, it beats an old Crown-Vic.
Kindness pays.
