It was the shot shown 'round the world. The Winding Road posted the wintry scenes of what will likely be the current SL's replacement.
On closer inspection, however, these photographs are most misleading as the convertible's rear is only thinly disguised and fundamentally unchanged from that of the current SL. The Mercedes' front end, on the other hand, is entirely covered.
Is this to suggest that the next SL will share the current generation's platform?
I don't know. All I can say is that the world's Benz enthusiasts had better pray that Stuttgart didn't fowl the current SL's trend of near-perfect good looks. The suspense is gripping.
I'm breathing into a paper bag as I type this...
