Germany's horsepower wars seem far from over. The bronze medalist of Germany's Teutonic trio of luxury marques - Audi - is set to unleash the hammers of Nürburgring hell on rivals Mercedes-Benz and BMW with a 530 horsepower, 500 lb-ft torque station wagon in the RS6 Avant.

"We can't think of any other manufacturer that's shoehorned a direct injection twin-turbo 5.2-litre V10 under the bonnet of one of its cars," CAR magazine reported.

The V10's anticipated output out-guns Mercedes' E63 AMG wagon (514 bhp) and BMW's M5 wagon (487 bhp). Expect it to reach 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and to hit the electric wall at 155 mph.
