Episode 505 of MTV's Pimp My Ride series is bound to draw tears from W126 S-Class and Benz diesel fans 'round the world. It's the episode where a young lady named Spechelle (pronounced "special") purchased an all-but-destroyed '81 300SD at a police auction for $500.

Show host (and rapper of some note) X-Ibit noted that the once proud Mercedes-Benz was likely involved in a drug bust.

But that really didn't matter to Spechelle.

"I like it because it's a Mercedes. When I'm drivin' the Benz, I feel very sophisticated...even though it looks like a piece of s#$% on the outside."

Spechelle added that among the heaps of praise her friends and family lauded upon her for her distinct set of wheels, it was her grandfather's words that astonished her most.

"He tell me all the time, 'Girl you sharper than a rat turd!'"

Quite. In any event, despite the volumes of praise, Spechelle acknowledged the need to have her car receive some custom TLC. Hence, the MTV intervention.

The episode's result is, shall we say, special.
