Saturn Sky in LA

Getting to the end of it now -- just a little bit more from the LA Auto Show:

The loneliest little roadster at the LA Auto Show was the 2007 Saturn Sky. Stuck way out at the end of the South Hall, the Sky should have attracted more attention, but the 2006 Pontiac Solstice, its GM stablemate and chassis partner, got all the glory. The Sky is kind of a departure for Saturn -- it's a car you might actually enjoy driving. GM announced pricing this week: the Sky will start at $23,690 with a five-speed manual transmission, and $24,540 with a five-speed automatic. The 2006 Solstice carries a base price of $20,490 -- we'll have to see how similarly equipped Sky and Solstice models match up for price. At first glance, the big difference between the Sky and the Solstice is the shape of the cowl behind the driver's and passenger's heads. The Sky's is more peaked and angular -- a bold choice that doesn't really work all that well, but at least it's different. Line up at your Saturn dealership -- the Sky will be there this summer.
