If it looks like an elongated 997 series 911, well, that's because it pretty much is. RUF, super-tuner to Porsches in a similar officially-unofficial capacity as Alpina is to BMW, has announced its new creation: the CTR3.
Based on a 911 frame, the latest in RUF's super-tuned arsenal is set to battle another tuner shop's supercar - the 9FF GT9.
The GTR3's performance figures are staggering - and Bugatti Veyron challenging. All 690 horses peak their charge @ 7000 rpm racing the 3,251lbs machine to 60 in 3.2 seconds and on and on and on to a top speed of 235 mph! Torque figures are not so much suited for stump pulling as they are for massive deforestation - 657lb-ft which all happens at 4000 rpm.
