Audi certainly has had no shortage of fans that adore the new mid-engined R8. And what's remarkable is that so many of these admirers seem to be new to the marque – as in – they fantasized about Lamborghinis and Porsches, not conservative German sedans with funky grilles.
So the "halo effect" is still in effect and to capitalize on that even further, Audi produced the following the above minute-long television spot highlighting more than 70 years of innovation that culminated to the R8. Or something like that.
