Porsche AG announced recently that to make room for more Cayennes and the upcoming Panamera four door sports-saloon / Maserati Quattroporte rival, the company has invested €150 million ($203 million) in new construction at its Leipzig Plant.

Among the array of new facilities is an expanded logistics center and workshop that increase combined tooling space by more than 50,000 sq. meters (538,000 sq. ft)

At an official ceremony marking the factory additions, the German Minister of Transport added the following, "The development of a hybrid drive for the Cayenne and Panamera models built in Leipzig can prove to be future oriented."
