Pontiac Win is Opportunity Lost

If I were General Motors, and in particular Pontiac, I'd be trumpeting this victory with ads everywhere, instead of wasting all that cash in NASCAR with its fake stock cars and overblown hype. The car looks like a Pontiac because it is a Pontiac, not too different from what you and I can buy at the showroom. Competing in the GT class of last weekend's VIR 400, the Pontiac GTO of Andy Lally and Marc Bunting finished first while another GTO was second, driven by kelly Collins and Paul Edwards. The third-place car was a Porsche, which tells you something. Pontiac needs this kind of encouragement, so why does it ignore the obvious?
