Pontiac has a new convertible version of the G6 GTP. The guys over at Automobile Magazine say the G6 drop top is rigid and quiet with the top up, but loosens up considerably with the top down. The rear seats will fit both 6 foot adults as well as rear facing child seats. That last bit is a big deal, take it form a guy that has tried to shoe horn a rear facing child seat into a Nissan Sentra. It didn't work, actually had to trade it in to get the kids home. Like most Pontiac's of late, cheap plastics abound.

Saw one of these over the weekend and it did look very appealing. I would comment on the plastics but didn't get a chance to sit in the car. At least the outer plastic cladding of recent years is gone! Overall, I went away with a quick impression that this is a major step in the right direction for Pontiac and GM.
