Playboy’s Cars of the Year

The January 2006 issue of Playboy is one that you really can buy for the articles.
Adding more fuel to the fire, Arthur Kretchmer's article "Car Wars" is about the collapse of Detroit and the rise of Toyota. Kretchmer tries to discover what Detroit is going to do about it.
And Ken Gross names Playboy's 2006 Cars of the Year:
- Best Supercar: Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Convertible
- Best Interstate Cruiser: Cadillac DTS
- Most Fun On Wheels: Mazda MX-5 Miata
- Best SUV: HUMMER H3
- Best Car to Take to Your High School Reunion: Bentley Continental Flying Spur
- Best Bang for Your Buck: Dodge Charger
- Best Sport Sedan: BMW M5
- Best Affordable Roadster: Pontiac Solstice
- Best Sport Wagon: audi A3 2.0T
- and (drumroll please):
- Car of the Year: Porsche Cayman S

So, buy a copy of Playboy at your local newsstand — pick up a copy of Newsweek or something to cover it up, though.
What do you think of this list? I can't really argue with the Cayman — haven't driven it yet, but I'm very eager to — but a few of the choices make me shudder. What's your Car of the Year?
