<p><i>The New York Times</i> has reported on a budding trend amongst certain eco-minded Honda owners. The trend involves the new <!-- #SL_START# --><span class=honda civic GX that runs on natural gas and a pump for the home garage called "The Phill" which permits the owner to fill the given Honda with the same natural gas that's already fed through some urban homes.

Apparently, the product has been available since 2005 and more than 200 Californian Honda owners have installed the $3,500 pump in their garage and connected it to their homes' natural gas lines for use on their Civic GXs.

Toronto based FuelMaker Corporation manufactures the golf-bag sized Phill and has plans to expand its product output by leasing its pumps through Honda dealerships.
