Now We're Talkin' Money
I recently had a rare roadtrip ("Why leave good ol' Brooklyn?" is my motto) and, boy, it's hitting the wallet hard! I know I predicted $3 back in January, but I was honestly hoping to be wrong. It looks like high gas prices are here to stay, so we might as well figure out how to make the best of it. How? Walk, carpool, telecommute, public transportation are good starts. If those aren't viable, it's probably time to trade in the dinosaur burner and buy a more fuel-efficient car. Luckily the web is full of lists, here's two that are pretty decent: Best cars with great gas mileage from CNN and About Cars' Top 10 Fuel Efficient Cars. And if your budget doesn't allow for a new car, at least pay the least for the gas you do use. Oh, I have no idea what's up with CNN's picks being mostly all Toyotas. Variety is the spice of life, CNN!
