Maserati's new Quattroporte GT S isn't all new. In fact, there's only one major set of components that distinguish it from, say, the Quattroporte GT. The suspension.
Since the Quattroporte's launch, the big Italian sedan has used what Maserati's been calling a "skyhook suspension" - an adaptive dampening system that allows the driver to control ride firmness.
In this new Quattroporte GT S, Maserati has gone back to basics with single-rate dampers from one of the best names in the shock biz - Bilstein.
And according to CAR Magazine - the new setup has paid off.
"What's more, after a sniff of initial roll, the car stays planted on a trajectory, super-settled, screaming confident thoughts at you," the review read.
