Newest Porsche, Faster Than Fast

Porsche 911T

It seems that if you're in the supercar business, there's no such thing as too much. He who has the biggest numbers wins. Hence builders like ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Corvette and Porsche keep pushing for more performance.

That's the rationale for the sixth-generation Porsche 911 Turbo, to be launched at the Geneva Auto Show. The flat-six engine gets a 60-hp boost, up to 480-hp. It will sprint from 0-60 in less than 3.7 seconds with the six-speed Tiptronic S automatic; the 6-speed manual takes two-tenths longer.

Top speed has been limited to a mere 190 mph. I last tested a 911T a couple of years ago but only reached 156 mph before running out of road. Can't imagine why anyone would want to go faster. Can't even imagine why I did that! Nor could my still-quaking passenger.
