New Gullwing Planned
As it is, it's terribly difficult to keep track of the full Mercedes-Benz lineup. It is, in fact, the largest, most dynamic model range of any marque. It seemed as though every conceivable price point has been covered from the way overpriced SLR McLaren to the humble A-Class.
But those ambitious folks in Stuttgart have thought otherwise. According to UK car journal AutoExpress, Mercedes-Benz is set to reintroduce the Gullwing in post 2010 form.
The remake of the 1950's icon begs the question whether the set-for-production Gullwing will take away the rest of whatever wind is left in the sails of the unsuccessful SLR. The Gullwing would, according to sources, be priced to well below the current SLR and have performance figures that may match the more expensive model.
