Mustang GT California Special

Life is just not fair. Why do mustang fans in California, get a special GT that those of us in the rest of the country don't? I guess it should be no surprise that Ford goes back to the late 60s option catalog again on a Mustang that is already retro styled. Not that it's a bad thing, the California Special is certainly a sweet looking ride. With Ford bringing the California Special back, may be it's safe to assume that it's only a matter of time until we see the High Country Special back on the market as well.
I truly love what Ford is doing with the new Mustang, the retro design is spectacular and in keeping with the affordable performance oriented history of the car, you can still buy a nice Mustang GT in a price range the most fans can afford. I firmly believe that the reason the Camaro is no longer with us is that Chevrolet priced themselves out of the marketplace.
The things that set the California Special apart from normal mustangs are a special interior featuring black with dove or black with parchment color schemes. The special Stang's also get black leather trim seats, bright rolled exhaust tips, 18 inch polished aluminum wheels, unique front and rear fascias, special side stripes and scoops, and Mustang badged floor mats. All performance specs for the vehicle are the same. MSRP for the California Special is $29,095, still making the Mustang a veritable bargain.
