If you've never heard of Jamie Lincoln Kitman, allow me to introduce you to this incredible fellow.

Kitman is the New York Bureau Chief for Automobile Magazine. He's a sharp writer, with wit and pith to spare. His columns are often hilarious; his reviews contain gems like the following opening paragraph from his review of the 2006 Corvette Z06:

Corvettes, God love 'em, have always been as American as Mom, apple pie, and the 32-ounce Big Gulp that Mom drinks to wash her pie down. Yet while these sporting Chevrolets have long amused speed-obsessed Europeans as prime icons of Yankee muscle and style, they've never really been at home in Europe, a land of puny roads, micro-machines, and fermented grape beverages served in small glasses. To European tastes, the heavy Chevys were not unlike that Big Gulp: too big, too plastic, too sugary and sloppy.

Classic.

As if that wasn't enough, Kitman has a second career: He's a very successful music manager. His big bands are Brooklyn's ownThey Might Be Giants and Chicago up-and-comers OK Go.

Check out Kitman's writing, and rock to his bands. Appreciate the man.
