Of the first Quattroporte, MotorTrend had this to say of the sedan's style: "It has more charisma in its front fender than a new S-Class and 7 Series put together." And of the Trident's performance? "At 6800 rpm [the V8] sounds as spine-tingling as a Pavarotti aria." The one catch to all this greatness? The "herky-jerky" flappy paddle transmission.
But thanks to the good folks at ZF, the latest Quattroporte sports the same six-speed automatic gearbox that lets BMW's 7-series fly. According to MotorTrend, that has made all the difference.
