The Quattroporte lacks a true automatic transmission, a disadvantage in the United States. It has a Ferrari F1-style, six-speed electrohydraulic transaxle that is basically a manual transmission with no-clutch pedal. Gears can be changed by using paddle shifters on either side of the steering wheel or by selecting automatic mode, which shifts the gears without driver input.I don't know about you, but I find this sort of transmission very appealing. There's not a lot of high-end cars that ask for any driver input other than to not drive directly into things.
Now, look, I'm no fancy boy like Jason and Phil (who actually get to test drive cars), so I'll probably never get to drive one, sit in one, heck, I'll probably never get to feel how smooth the paint is, but I'll sure admire it from wherever I'm standing. I've seen only one on the road (in N.J.) and it was as pretty as the pictures. You got any cars that beat this one? Comments are open below for you to prove me wrong.

Yes, the Maserati Quattroporte is gorgeous, in fact, the "old" car from the 1980's was (for it's time) a knockout in my humble opinion, as well. In fact when I was in college in Illinois, I had to take an art class to complete my degree (a required course). I was told to choose something beautiful and present it to the class - it could be a photo of the real thing. I chose the then current Maserati Quattroporte and waxed so enthusiastically about it that the teacher, who told me after class that she'd never considered cars as art, gave me an A on the grade. I was pleased to have also opened her eyes to "automotive beauty" as well.
