Is the MINI too big? Some people think so, according to BMW's marketing folks. A really compact version, the SKINI, is being lanched in Canada (no word from the US yet), to go on sale in July. The SKINI, obviously a scooter, is unique in offering the driving fun that helped make BMW motorcycles and the MINI brand famous. It features a 2x2 all wheel drive system, 50hp - 10,000 RPM, 220 cc 4-stroke engine, sealed shaft-drive, airbag, heated and ventilated seat and heated grips and side view mirrors, power steering, semi-integral ABS, and 6 speed CVT transmission. Cellphone not included, fortunately.
