You might wish to file this next bit of info under "who gives a damn?" but presumably the last ten customers out there who are still interested in the large limos that Maybach Manufactur has to offer would and probably should.

According to British car monthly EVO, Maybach has announced plans to bring us the 62S – they brought us the 57S last Autumn and no one really bothered to take notice.

Snore.

Oh, right, and it is thanks to the new 612 hp twin turbo V-12 that the longwheelbase version of the Maybach lineup can sprint from 0-60 in 5.2 seconds versus 5.9 seconds of the regular 62.

Come on!

The very viability of the super priced, super sedan is now in as great a jeopardy as ever thanks to being soundly upstaged by the new, revitalized, and enlargened S-Class Mercedes-Benz and roundly outclassed by British rivals Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Surely this "S" variant represents sinking-ship-deck-chair-shuffling at its worst.
