Maybach 57S
I was driving along today minding my own business when I looked over and there next to me was the uber expensive Maybach 57S. I have to say I was under whelmed. It was a nice looking car, but at a price some put at $335,000 I expected more. The car was down right boring to look at. That said, the car was definitely more fleet of foot that it looked, with a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V12 engine. The huge and portly beast could hit 60 in about 5.0 seconds, that is assuming the wealthy dude driving it had any interest of doing so. I suspect that the guy who drops that kind of cash on a luxury car is into looking good more than having fun with the purchase. Had it been a Ferrari Enzo, perhaps I would have gave it a bit more a look and challenged him to a race in my mini van just to hear the Ferrari scream.
