Lotus Goes Green In Brazil

As praias de Brasil !
According to EVO, Lotus, purveyors of some of the world's most spirited, no-frills sportscars and once upon a time the immortal Esprit, is set to bring the British motorsport to the Brazilian seaside masses.
In a partnership with a Rio de Janeiro based automaker that's valued at somewhere near £70 million ($137 million), Lotus will engineer economically efficient (and environmentally friendly) and zippy 1.6 liter engines that'll accept gasoline, natural gas, or bio-ethanol. The "Tritec" engines will be used in the compact, 1,653 lb Obvio! 012 coupé.
