Lotus Fragrance? Castrol R it Isn’t

If one were to buy a men's fragrance named "Lotus," shouldn't it have an odour like Castrol R, the famed racing oil that sent hearts racing at many a race circuit and hillclimb in the 60's? Well, maybe not. Smelling like a race car probably wouldn't do much for one's image with the fair sex. Fortunately Michael Albert, who worked in the German cosmetics industry, had a better idea. His new Lotus Fragrance was launched at Manhattan Motors in West Chelsea – the only Lotus dealer in the state of New York – with Playboy's Simon Stahl and spokesmodel and Playboy Playmate Joanna Krupa in attendance. In addition to the fragrance, a shower gel and deodorant stick will also be sold for $14 each. Joanna Krupa? Wonder if she's related to the great jazz drummer Gene Krupa, who last lived in nearby Yonkers? That's Joanna and Michael as seen in a Forbes.com article.
