Los Angeles Concours Bows, Suggests a Promising Future

"Luxist", a site devoted to all things for the wealthy (or the merely impulsive) attended the first annual "Los Angeles Concours d'Elegance" over the weekend and viewed some 250 antique, classic, exotic, and vintage vehicles. Writer Deidre Woollard posted pictures of Bugattis, Delahayes, Packards, Shelbys, Packards, Aston-Martins. Including this one of an art deco-influenced Delahaye interior. The show was held at the Rose Bowl and adjacent Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena, a beautiful and spacious setting. A stylish concours in the LA area seems like a wonderful idea, for southern California is a treasure chest of magnificent classics from all eras: I predict that the Los Angeles Concours d'Elegance will eventually become a major event on the concours calendar. Proceeds benefit the Assistance League of Southern California and its various programs.
