lexus - Toyota's luxury division that has mastered outdoing Mercedes-Benz in comfort - is ready to put the hammer down on overtaking BMW in sport. Good luck, Lexus, you're going to need all that plus some.
To match words of intent with meaningful metal, Lexus is taking the already sporty IS sedan and supertuning it to compete with the likes of the BMW M3. What does that mean? It means a lighter weight body fitted with a 5.0 liter, 400 horsepower engine - likely with eight cylinders though not confirmed.
Lexus seems dead set for letting its competition (and the consuming public) know it excels not just in comfort or in alternative propulsion. The IS-F is Lexus' entry to the automotive sport of driving just for thrills.
