There's been a trend as of late for automakers to announce their ambitious plans that will see production in far off dates. The Rolls-Royce 100EX is one example. The concept car made its very public début four year before the actual car will see production (2008).
In the current issue of AutoCar - a superb UK automotive monthly - Land Rover has openly stated its case for the launch of its new TT two door off-roader in - wait for it (cuz you'll have to) 2013.
Right...
As we all know, a lot can happen between this moment and the next in the automotive world (let alone the wider universe). So why we, the general public, should still be excited about a concept turned model whose design will no longer seem fresh, inspired, or new - 7 years (!) from now, is a matter deservedly open for public debate.
