I mentioned a few days ago that the new version of the European Ford Fiesta, based on the well received Verve concept, will probably be heading our way in a couple of years.

One vehicle in the Ford global fleet not slated to currently make it to North America is the compact Kuga SUV.

Getting ready for action at the Geneva auto show, the Kuga goes on sale in the spring with either front wheel or all wheel drive and a 2.0 liter turbo-diesel engine generating a scant 136 hp but an impressive 236 lb-ft of torque, which should give it some zip.

Although, as I mentioned, the Kuga is not scheduled to head our way, some pundits suggests that the compact SUV could eventually become the next ford escape.
