Stuttgart's latest entry-level Luxury Sedan - the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class - has won praise far and wide for its sharp angled looks and the automaker's highly publicized promise that the new Benz is a return to the marque's over-engineered values of yesteryear.
But as with all projects great and small, there's still room for someone in the automotive press to carp about something. And Britain's AutoCar didn't pass up the chance.
The scribes over at the venerable British publication claimed that the new C-Class had a "jiggly ride" despite good body control.
"We tried the C280 in firmer-riding Sport trim [...]and it fidgets over road scars at low speeds. Still, we know that the non-Sport C-classes suffer the same restlessness."
Any number factors outside of the suspension itself could have provided the jittery experience - poorly performing tyres - for one.
Overall, though, the folks @ AutoCar seems cool on the new Benz. Read on here.
