So, I read Chrysler is about to overtake Ford as the number two carmaker in North America. That's some impressive turnaround by the folks at Chrysler. My first-hand memory of Chrysler was learning to drive my school's K-Car in my Driver's Education class. Let me tell you, that car was awful. It was summer time and every time I made a right turn, water from the A/C unit leaked on my leg. It's tough enough being a teenager let alone getting out of a car in front of your friends with your right leg all wet.
Anyway, the K-Car helped save Chrysler from total oblivion (my leg and I are still not sure how) back then and this time it's Jeep. With rising sales, it seems like the division is going to push Chrysler ahead of ford.
We're glad to see a troubled company turn it around, but based on this review of the Jeep Commander, we're not convinced they are totally out of the woods. Or guaranteed to pass Ford.
