Looking like some bad cross over between Luxury Sedan and kit car, the latest re-rendering of Jaguar's flagship will be lucky if it sells a single unit. Painfully ugly and entirely outdated, the Jag's redesign lost all the grace that provided the only appealing characteristic of the firmly retro design.
The most drastic changes have been taken to the front airdam, grille (more C-XF-ish with large circular cat badge), and the afterthought side air-vent (which was previously available only on supercharged models).
CAR magazine has called it a "stop gap" until its badly needed replacement heads our way in 2009. It's clear this XJ series has lived its ninth life.
