UK automotive monthly CAR magazine (probably the best in the biz) has alerted us that the current XJ flagship's design is undergoing a stem and stern refit to update its out of date image.
Sensitive to stymied sales and much grousing that their current top sedan looks too similar (and not as elegant) as the previous generation XJ sedan, company insiders told CAR that the next XJ sedan that will début in 2009 - codenamed X351 - will feature far more "avantegarde" styling.
Expect changes to the famous line (whose current styling is routed in the late 60s) to be every bit as radical as the new C-XF Concept.
