Jaguar is Back and We Love It

I am a hopelessly smitten Jaguar fan. Ever since I saw my first Jaguar XK120 and thought it to be the most beautiful car in the world, then heard the sound of that glorious twin-overhead-cam six on the race track, I've been in love with Jaguars.
The 3.8 sedan, the XJ sedans, and the magnificent E-Type (which certainly is one of the world's most beautiful automobiles) only added to this enchantment, while the six LeMans victories offered plenty of reasons to wave the flag. For a time Jaguar suffered from poor quality but Ford's stewardship has fixed those ills. Still, Jaguar sales lag behind its competitors, a famous old plant has been closed and its workers laid off. There was even talk of Jaguar being sold to Renault (denied by Ford).
So you can imagine how pleased I was to read a review of the new Jaguar XK. Writer Andrew Frankel proclaims "There comes a moment in every car test when suddenly you know; a moment when all the thoughts flying around your head settle into something sufficiently structured to form an opinion. The new Jaguar XK's moment came half way through a curve on the best road I have ever encountered. And in that instant I knew that Jaguar was back." This is an interesting and Entertaining review, well worth a look. But be careful. You, too, may fall in love.
