In Defence of Minivan Man

"It's easy to glance over from your hot hatch, company Bimmer or precious Porsche, see Mr. Mom sitting-up at the wheel of his minivan stuffed with car seats and kids, and snigger." Hey, I didn't write those words! They were composed by Samantha St. james at The Truth About Cars. But they caught my attention as her article is the best defence yet of the minivan. I'll admit to having been one of those sniggering enthusiast types, which was easy for me as my kids are grown up and when they were young we traveled in a BMW 2002 and no one complained. What makes Samantha's story so compelling, however, is the way in which she defends "Minivan Man." It seems women see things differently where auto image is concerned.

As someone who drives a minivan and an integra – I concur with Samantha wholeheartedly!

I am now convincing my little daughter that our next car should be a convertible :-)
