Cynics may just shrug their shoulders when a large corporation like Hyundai gives to philanthropy. It is, after all, a terrific public relations exercise that's meant to show what good corporate citizens the folks @ Hyundai USA are. And sure, all that is true.
But a good deed is still a good deed so let's give them credit. As part of the Korean carmaker's Hope on Wheels philanthropic initiatives program, Hyundai will award $2,500 toward the tuition bills (not much considering tuition these days, but hey every li'l bit helps) of ten students who have suffered from pediatric cancer.
In total, the company has given more than $8 million towards institutions battling pediatric cancer.
Three cheers for Hyundai.
